Job summary

Seven Counties in Louisville, KY is seeking a Full-Time, 2nd shift crisis intervention supervisor to provide telephone crisis and suicide intervention services. The role includes supervising counselors and volunteers, documenting interventions, and coordinating with community resources.

You will train staff, attend meetings, and respond to community groups affected by suicide while ensuring high-quality crisis support and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Human Services, or related field.
• AAS/Life Line 50 hours Crisis Intervention/Suicide Prevention training with six months of volunteer time.
• Minimum of six months experience in social services.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of available community resources.
• Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
• Good supervisory skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis and suicide intervention counseling by telephone to callers needing emergency/crisis assistance.
• Documents and maintains accurate records of all telephone interventions.
• Reviews daily logs and client records for accuracy.
• Supervises and monitors staff and volunteers to ensure quality crisis assistance and documentation.
• Provides crisis intervention training and consultation to others as requested.
• Attends staff and team meetings and shares procedures information.
• Provides crisis intervention to community groups traumatized by suicide as assigned.
