Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Sr. Examiner for Credit Review to assess the quality of credit decisioning, portfolio management, and risk recognition across commercial portfolios. You will lead examinations, define monitoring plans, and coordinate with regulators and internal teams.

This role focuses on advanced credit review in Global Markets, Financial Institutions, and Global Wealth management portfolios, with opportunities to lead special projects and drive continuous testing improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of direct commercial credit experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics or other business concentration.
• Expert credit analysis, risk rating and underwriting knowledge.
• Ability to support conclusions through fact-based analysis and influence senior leaders.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Deep knowledge of Loan Structuring and underwriting.
• Experience in Credit and Risk Assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks while delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Performs transactional testing of credit process execution for new and existing clients.
• Supports conclusions through fact-based analysis, proposing suggestions and influencing senior leaders.
• Participates in examination activities, occasionally leading exams.
• Identifies, assesses and reports on existing and emerging risks.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by leading or participating in complex or multiple projects.
• Achieve continuous testing goals by producing quality, timely work.
• Maintain well-written, easy to follow work papers in accordance with Credit Review guidelines and best practices.
• Raise potential areas of concern for QA team to review.
• Actively engage with Corporate Audit to ensure ongoing awareness of review activity, coordination, and ongoing risk assessment.
• Support enterprise initiatives related to operational excellence and adoption of AI tools to continuously improve our work processes
