Job summary

Fitch Ratings seeks a Senior Credit Analyst for coverage of the Utilities and Midstream sector in New York, Chicago, or Toronto. The role focuses on quantitative and qualitative credit analysis within a global rating agency and requires clear communication with internal committees and external audiences.

You will develop financial models, present findings, mentor junior analysts, and may assume managerial responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in credit analysis or a related field.
• Experience covering Utilities & Midstream is a plus.
• Strong Excel and Word skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of Utilities and Midstream companies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Conduct meetings with industry management teams.
• Present analysis to internal credit rating committees.
• Communicate rating rationale to external audiences (investors, analysts, media).
• Write timely research on topical issues.
• Evaluate other credits within Corporates and related groups.
• Represent Fitch in panels and conferences; mentor junior staff; may have managerial responsibilities.
