Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Lead Credible Messenger to initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services for clients and families using a strength-based wrap-around model.

The role requires a high school diploma or better, with experience with at-risk youth and families; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred. Travel throughout Hartford and surrounding areas is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with experience working with target population.
• Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of Community Resources
• Experience working with at-risk youth and families
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Electronic health records systems (EHR) is a plus but not required.
• Positions require valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance coverage that will need to be provided.
• Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of direct advocacy services for assigned clients and families.
• Coordinate outreach and wrap-around services based on a strength-based approach.
• Travel as required to Hartford and surrounding areas for service delivery.
