Job summary

Surface Experts - Flower Mound is seeking a Lead Technician who loves hands-on work and a leadership role. You will solve repairs creatively, work well independently, take pride in quality, and represent the company with customers.

In the field daily you’ll typically complete 4 or more repairs on-site, coach teammates, and deliver world-class customer service to tenants and property managers while coordinating with our support teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in finish work or related craft.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and spend extended periods on your feet.
• Strong eye for color, pattern, and detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead field team, coach in the field, and share best practices.
• In the field daily: typically complete 4+ on-site repairs.
• Provide world-class customer service to tenants and property staff.
• Update repairs in the CRM/Dispatch tool.
• Follow the 5-step repair process and solve issues across sites.

Duties

• Serve as Team Lead - share best practices, coach in the field, and contribute to our rapidly growing team.
• In the field daily: generally completing 4 or more creative repairs on‑site each day.
• Demonstrate world‑class customer service for tenants and property management staff.
• Communicate with the support team with questions.
• Update progress on repairs by entering information and notes on our CRM/Dispatch tool.
• Understand and utilize our unique 5‑step repair process.
• Problem‑solving with repairs in a variety of settings such as apartments, hotels, moving sites, construction sites, etc.

Requirements

• Background in fine finishing, automotive paint, cosmetology, artistic media, carpentry, flooring, or similar craft. 3‑5 years of experience preferred.
• Strong eye for color, pattern, and detail.
• Comfortable with hand tools, light power tools, ladders, and onsite work.
• Must be able to see, distinguish, and replicate colors: familiarity with color and color‑matching is integral to our process.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and spend extended periods on your feet.
