Job summary

IDB Bank in New York is seeking an Underwriter to lead credit underwriting for new-money transactions and ensure compliance with policy and governance. You will partner with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Credit, Treasury, and advisors to support sound credit decisions.

Responsibilities include evaluating cash flows, constructing scenarios, validating deal parameters, and preparing memoranda for approval. The role offers a hybrid schedule and comprehensive compensation.

Qualifications

• Advanced credit and financial analysis including cash flow modeling.
• Strong credit judgment and risk assessment capabilities.
• Ability to write clear, concise credit memoranda.
• Experience driving credit decisioning within governance frameworks.
• Working knowledge of collateral structures and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting for new money transactions from initial analysis through credit approval.
• Review borrower financial spreads and perform preliminary credit analysis to support prescreen decisions.
• Conduct comprehensive underwriting analysis for new transactions, including cash flow modeling and stress testing.
• Coordinate and analyze interest rate and hedging assumptions when applicable.
• Prepare loan amortization schedules and repayment profiles.
