M.C. Dean is seeking a Crane Operator 3 to lead and perform complex lifting operations at sites in the United States. The role requires advanced crane skills, hazard reviews, and the ability to coach junior operators while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will plan setups, evaluate load paths, and coordinate with qualified crew to execute lifts with precision and control in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience.
• CDL Class A and medical card when assigned carrier or transport duties.
• State, local, project, or customer crane qualification when required.
• Working knowledge of load-chart use, complex setup, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead crane execution and coach operators in the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead hazard reviews for complex crane setups and changing conditions.
• Review lift packages, evaluate load weight and center of gravity.
• Plan crane positioning, rigging, and setup with crew members.
• Diagnose abnormal equipment behavior and verify repair status.
• Apply chart notes and limits to multi-step lifts for safe operations.
• Operate difficult loads with precision and maintain communication.
• Lead lift execution with hold points and crew readiness checks.
• Provide recovery steps and re-brief the team if work resumes.
