Job summary

XNRGY Climate Systems, Inc. is seeking a Manager, CPQ Tools & Selection Software to lead a small technical team at the intersection of engineering, software, and commercial operations.

You will own the CPQ roadmap, the selection tool architecture across chiller, CRAH, and fan coil lines, and govern performance models and data validation. This role partners with Testing, CAD, Sales, and Applications to deliver reliable submittals, ensuring quality, standards compliance, and scalable software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years in HVAC, refrigeration, or related product engineering with performance modeling or selection tools.
• 3+ years managing a small technical team and Agile development, priorities, releases, and support.
• Experience owning a commercial selection or CPQ tool through development, validation, release, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC performance across refrigeration and air-side systems, including thermodynamics and heat transfer.
• Working knowledge of AHRI, ASHRAE, and AMCA rating and testing standards.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing, model validation, and measurement uncertainty.
• Strong technical understanding of software architecture, databases, version control, and development workflows (Git, SQL).
• Excellent judgment and communication, ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own CPQ and tool roadmap, architecture, and release across product lines.
• Lead development and governance of performance models, ensuring accuracy and defensibility.
• Govern data lifecycle from testing through validation, release, and maintenance.
• Ensure selection tools meet AHRI, ASHRAE, AMCA rating requirements.
• Develop and maintain a common selection architecture across product families.
• Establish software validation, regression testing, and version control processes.
• Collaborate with Testing, CAD, Sales, and Applications for calibration and improvements.
• Mentor and coach the technical team to align with product launches and business needs.
