Qualifications

Summary/Objective
The Lead Countertop Installation Technician position is responsible for performing installation and service of new countertops on existing home and construction sites.

Essential Functions

1. Install or repair countertops in existing homes, new home construction job sites and commercial work sites.
2. Coordinate with other teams, outside vendors and contractors to meet installation schedules and goals.
3. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp installation details and requirements.
4. Guide day-to-day operations of the team to ensure tasks are being completed on schedule.
5. Ensure the end product meets company standards and customer expectations, including post-install clean-up.
6. Address customer questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project, communicating openly with Operations Manager and SID Coordination Team.
7. Work closely with the Service and Install Operations Manager, Countertop Installation Manager and the scheduling team on balancing workload, process improvement, training and planning for the team.
8. Review and follow all job plans and instructions as listed in SPS, updating SPS regularly.
9. Adhere to all safety policies and standard operating procedures to ensure the safety of self, team members, and company property including when onsite at customer locations and while operating a company vehicle.
10. Coordinate repairs of tools and equipment as needed. Maintain and operate equipment in accordance with operating manuals and procedures, and maintain your assigned work area in a high state of cleanliness/readiness.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
Will work mainly in customer homes, new construction sites and commercial work sites with multiple floors. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job construction sites, which can include high noise levels, fumes from paint or stain, and unfinished walking areas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. This position requires the ability to drive as required for the position, the ability to pass DOT medical/physical exam as required for the position, and the ability to safely lift over 100lbs.

Required Education and Experience

1. 5+ years’ Granite/Quartz/Stone/Corian/Solid Surface countertop installation experience.
2. Lead countertop installation supervisory experience.
3. Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
4. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Service work Experience.
7. Exceptional customer service skills.
8. Ability to use and read a tape measure to the 16^th of an inch with accuracy and precision.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Carpentry skills.
