Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Humboldt, TN is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Corrugator on 2nd shift to lead a team and meet production schedules. This onsite role emphasizes safety, quality, and cost control while ensuring timely production and reliable equipment performance.

You will coach operators, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with multiple departments to achieve daily KPIs and customer commitments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of corrugator supervisory experience in a packaging facility.
• Experience in a Lean environment; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach and train employees and foster teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shift operations with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Serve as first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical or production issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce control procedures.
• Coordinate production activities with other departments to meet goals on time and cost-effectively.
• Monitor production to minimize waste and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Input production data to measure KPIs like efficiency and downtime.
• Prepare daily shift production reports and conduct shift reviews.
• Direct maintenance to troubleshoot and perform preventative tasks.
• Ensure plant safety regulations are followed and safety culture is encouraged.
• Recruit, train and develop staff; conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
