Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. seeks a dedicated security supervisor to oversee detainee supervision and facility safety in our Texas operations.

You will supervise security staff, implement applicable policies, and maintain accurate records to support deterrence of incidents and safe operations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years in a correctional setting, and preferred supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years of experience in a correctional setting; management experience preferred.
• Ability to command respect and handle mental stress in challenging environments.
• Experience implementing custody, security and treatment policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of custody, security and/or treatment policies and procedures.
• Respond to major unusual occurrences and provide prompt assistance to detainees/inmates.
• Direct the work of staff, including training, evaluations, promotions and disciplinary actions.
• Review disciplinary matters for staff and detainees and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Prepare records and reports; maintain daily logs and facility records.
• Provide detainee supervision and security in other areas as needed and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
