Responsibilities

• Serve as the facilities lead investigator of Investigations and Intelligence.
• Investigate and gather physical evidence and testimony of incidents involving staff, offenders, or others.
• Make recommendations on evidence sufficiency for further investigations by higher-level investigators.
• Investigate correspondence between offenders and staff; ensure compliance with Indiana codes and departmental policy.
• Conduct inspections to ensure security procedures are in place and effective.
• Assist leadership with developing and monitoring security procedures.
• Gather, label and preserve evidence for internal/external cases.
• Ensure compliance with ACA standards.
• Conduct criminal investigations and provide reports and intelligence to outside agencies.
