Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Health Services Administrator to head medical unit departments at a correctional facility in Bernalillo, NM. You will plan, direct, coordinate and supervise healthcare delivery, including budgeting, patient care, and laboratory and pharmacy operations.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with a relevant degree, strong management experience, and a proven ability to ensure regulatory compliance, staff development and high-quality care for inmates.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
• Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing, Health Administration or related field preferred.
• AED Certification is required.
• Experience in healthcare administration and LTC a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise health services staff across nursing, dental, records, and mental health.
• Ensure staffing meets contractual requirements and schedules accordingly.
• Maintain revenue and control expenses to meet facility goals.
• Develop and monitor health care policies, procedures and compliance.
• Meet with facility admins and CorrHealth leadership to review reports.
• Coordinate orientation, training, and continuing education programs.
• Maintain licensure, certification and quality standards for medical staff.
• Ensure ACA/NCCHC standards and HIPAA compliance in operations.
• Assist in disaster plan development, testing and updates.
• Be on call for staffing, admin, or medical emergencies; oversee CQI and infection control.
• Capable of CPR/AED instruction and handling emergencies.
