Apple Rehab Uncasville is seeking a Cook Supervisor for a per diem role at Orchard Grove, a 130-bed facility offering STR, long-term care, and memory care services. You will lead dietary staff, ensure meal quality, and collaborate with the Dietary Manager on planning, purchasing, and events.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, preparing meals to meet dietary needs, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Eligible for company sponsored Serv Safe Certification after 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to unload and stock groceries, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write and understand English, perform simple math, measure and record data.
• Attention to detail, follow through and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to supervise and instruct others.
• Previous hospital or long-term care facility experience preferred.
• Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork; remains calm in stressful situations.
• Positive attitude toward residents and their support networks; professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise dietary personnel, ensuring policy adherence.
• Oversee assignments, contribute to evaluations, and act in manager's absence.
• Prepare and serve meals per residents' dietary needs; support planning, purchasing, and equipment management.
• Collaborate with Dietary Manager on production planning and events.
• Forecast needs and develop recipes; assist in procurement and storage of food and equipment.
• Ensure meals are visually appealing and within budget constraints.
• Operate kitchen equipment and adaptive tools for residents' needs.
• Respond to residents' requests with flexibility and responsiveness.
