Job summary

Stoneridge Creek is seeking a Cook III / Lead Cook to join its senior living community culinary team. The role focuses on leading line cooks, preparing a variety of items, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, retirement community or similar institution.
• Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance; some knowledge of nutrition and diet.
• Culinary education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all food items per standardized recipes.
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours and determine amount and type of food and supplies.
• Follow safety procedures when handling kitchen equipment and comply with sanitation standards.
• Ensure quality and presentation of dishes and assist with special events or functions.
