Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Understanding of food service operations and dietary positions.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Able to learn quickly and follow directions.
• Experience in food preparation, cooking, and estimating quantities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety practices.
• Assist in training new dietary employees and in-services.
• Record food temperatures and monitor refrigerator temperatures as required.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of supervisors and ensure meals service readiness.
• Adapt menus with approval and manage portions to minimize waste.
