Good Samaritan in Red Oak, IA is seeking a Lead Cook to join our not-for-profit team serving seniors with quality care in a Christian environment. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Two years experience and leadership experience preferred, depending on location.
• Serv Safe may be required to obtain within designated time frame.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties in food preparation as assigned.
• Provides daily direction to cooks and other assigned areas.
• Prepares, cooks, seasons and portions food for patients/residents, staff and visitors.
• Adheres to HACCP guidelines to prepare, store and use food and food products.
• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery.
