Hilton at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club in Dana Point, CA, is seeking a Lead Cook to join our Culinary Team. You will lead kitchen stations, ensure quality, and deliver memorable dining experiences for our guests.

The role requires passion for hospitality, strong teamwork, and a commitment to food safety. As a lead cook, you will oversee menu execution, assist with inventory, and mentor junior cooks while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adherence to health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong customer service and hospitality mindset.
• Ability to lead kitchen stations and teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality dishes: Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Delight our guests: Manage guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience
• Execute complex recipes: Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, oversee stations, execution, quality control and inventory checks
• Inspect and finalize plates: Ensure plates meet quality and presentation standards ahead of serving
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Keep stations stocked and sanitary while following food handling and safety protocols
• Coordinate timing and plating, manage/direct cooks during shifts, assist with inventory checks and ordering
• Comply with regulatory standards: Health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
