Job summary

The Gardens at West Shore in Camp Hill, PA is hiring a Cook Supervisor to lead dietary staff and manage kitchen operations. You will prepare meals per therapeutic diets, supervise service and sanitation, and ensure high quality food presentation on the tray line during service.

Ideal candidates have ServSafe certification, minimum 2 years of large-scale cooking experience, and the ability to work every other weekend.

• ServSafe certification required.
• 2 years of large-scale cooking experience.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Experience with therapeutic food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to recipes and dietary requirements.
• Bake rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, and other baked goods.
• Work on the tray line during meal service for proper presentation.
• Oversee kitchen sanitation, including cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, and equipment.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Food Service Director or other leadership.
• Use census and menu extensions to prepare meals in appropriate quantities.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
• Make decisions with residents' best interests in mind.
• Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
