• Ability to lead a staff of cooks and food service workers.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills to interpret recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in daily training and supervision of kitchen staff.
• Relay instructions and ensure compliance with sanitation practices.
• Prepare four or more menu items daily and coordinate timing.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and cost control.
• Direct work of lower graded staff as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
