Job summary

Beaumont Care Homes Limited is seeking a Cook to join the kitchen team at our care home. The role involves covering the Cook Manager in their absence, leading a team, preparing menus with consideration for residents’ nutritional needs, and ensuring high-quality, home-cooked meals.

The successful candidate will work 25.5 hours per week across 3 days, contribute to stock management, and uphold strict hygiene and food safety standards. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety.
• Experience as a Cook/2nd Chef covering Cook Manager duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals.
• Prepare menus in consultation with Cook Manager and Home Manager.
• Manage stock taking, storage, and deliveries.
• Maintain hygiene and environmental food safety standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure presentation of dining areas.
• Support residents to meet dietary and cultural needs.
