Job summary

Beaumont Care Homes Limited is seeking a capable Cook for a 20-hour-per-week role to support the Cook Manager and lead a kitchen team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for residents. You will handle menus, stock, hygiene and dining presentation, while working with Home Manager and families to meet dietary needs.

You will be expected to operate with initiative, be a team player, and adapt quickly to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice, all while maintaining high hygiene

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and direct a team of kitchen colleagues to deliver first-class catering.
• Prepare menus in consultation with Cook Manager, Home Manager, residents and families.
• Prepare beverages and snacks to meet residents' needs.
• Plan and deliver set menus in absence of Cook Manager.
• Manage stock taking, stock rotation and storage; check and receive deliveries.
• Monitor and replenish kitchen and food stocks; maintain records per company procedures.
• Ensure dining areas are presented well and supervise other kitchen staff.
