Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous supervisor experience preferred
• Experience as a cook or related role required
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking methods
• Food safety certification required
• Basic math and counting skills
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise daily work activities
• Train staff on safety, sanitation, and cooking procedures
• Cook and prepare food following recipes and guidelines
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling
• Safely use knives and kitchen utensils
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment
• Cook with various methods (bake, roast, broil, steam)
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food
• Store food per safety policies
• Clean and sanitize areas, equipment and utensils
• Maintain positive customer service attitude
• Follow Aramark safety policies and protect company assets
• Produce and maintain production schedules and records
