Job summary

Canteen Services seeks a Permanent Full Time Lead Cook for the Genessee County Jail located in Flint, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading meal preparations in a structured correctional environment.

The position offers a starting pay of $20.00 along with numerous benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401K. Flexibility for shifts and holidays is required, and prior kitchen experience is a plus, although training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts between 5:00am - 8:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations.
• Execute food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up.

Skills

Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment
