Job summary

Cotton Culinary in Abilene, TX is seeking a Cook to join our Culinary department on a temporary basis. You will lead meal execution, participate in hands-on cooking, and ensure high-quality, timely service for large-scale events.

Ideal candidates have 4-5 years of commercial cooking, formal culinary training, and the ability to travel nationwide. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to support event logistics.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of commercial cooking experience, with focus on high-volume events.
• Formal culinary training or certifications are a plus.
• Experience in banquet or catering environments with flawless execution.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
• Ability and willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead Menu Execution: oversee meal prep and service during large events.
• Hands-On Cooking: actively prepare and present meals with the team.
• Ensure Quality & Efficiency: maintain high food quality and timely service.
• Inventory Reporting: monitor ingredients and rotations per safety standards.
• Client Relations: serve as main client contact during events and resolve issues.
