Job summary

Majestic Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Full Time Cook to join our dietary team in a fast-paced environment with supervision responsibilities for support staff.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, following sanitary regulations, enforcing safety precautions, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and storage areas. A high school diploma and cooking background in long-term care or culinary education are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/ High school or equivalent.
• Cooking background in long-term care facility and /or Culinary Education.
• Knowledge of food sanitation and batch cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our established policies and procedures
• Ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times by all personnel
• Follow established Infection Control Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks
• Assist and direct daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Ensure that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained
• Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Food Service Director immediately
• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times
