Job summary

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk, CO is actively seeking a skilled kitchen cook to support multiple outlets in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will read orders, prepare foods to standardized recipes, and coordinate with dining room staff to ensure timely, quality service.

Responsibilities include line work across various stations, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, and assisting with banquet operations as needed.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of experience related to the accountabilities specified.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of food items, to standard, in a high-volume operation.

Responsibilities

• Learn and be familiar with Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa’s outlets and answer general questions about the property.
• Assist with Banquet operations as needed.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond with urgency.
• Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and menus.
• Maintain kitchen control and coordinate with dining room staff.
• Coach and direct cooks to work efficiently.
• Ensure sanitary, safe, and effective operation of equipment and areas.
