Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels seeks a Lead Cook to support breakfast, banquet, and dinner operations. You will work with the culinary team to maintain quality and consistency while delivering excellent guest service in line with Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards.

Responsibilities include food prep, safety, inventory management, and staff training, with a focus on accuracy during events and adherence to health regulations.

Qualifications

• Hotel/restaurant kitchen experience (3–5 years) or equivalent.
• Experience with banquet and large-group meal service.
• Able to read/communicate in English fluently.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute all food orders per recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation, and ensure safety standards.
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to chef.
• Lead and train kitchen staff; support pre-shift briefings.
• Ensure compliance with food handling laws and company policies.
