Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Lead Cook to support breakfast, banquet, and dinner operations across our Seattle-area hotel. You will assist the culinary team, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency while delivering exceptional guest service aligned with Sonesta G.U.E.S.T.

standards. Responsibilities include food preparation, quality control, inventory management, and team leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, including banquet-style service.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Must obtain and maintain a Washington state Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute all food orders in a timely and consistent manner per recipes and standards.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and stations; follow health and safety rules.
• Monitor food quality, taste, texture, appearance, and temperature.
• Assist in interpreting Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and execute events accurately.
• Provide leadership and training to kitchen staff; support daily operations.
