Job summary

Battle House Hotel and Spa, part of the PCH Hotels & Resorts portfolio, is seeking a results-driven Lead Cook. This role supervises kitchen staff in the absence of the Chef, ensuring food quality, training personnel, and maintaining safety and efficiency in the kitchen.

Responsibilities include supervising prep, following recipes, managing production flow, and ensuring health regulations compliance, while fostering teamwork and delivering high-quality dining experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising kitchen staff.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for food handling.
• Ability to train kitchen staff on recipes and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead cook supervision in Chef's absence
• Train and supervise kitchen staff on prep, equipment use and safety
• Monitor production flow and maintain cost and quality controls
• Check freshness of ingredients and ensure correct recipes
• Maintain menu specifications and production forecasts
• Ensure proper receiving, storage and rotation of foods
• Conduct daily taste panels to ensure quality
• Maintain cleanliness and equipment maintenance in kitchen
• Foster teamwork and collaboration within the department
