ISO Lead Cook/Chef at popular upscale breakfast/brunch eatery

Family-run eatery serving a locally sourced, creative menu of upscale breakfast and lunch entrees seeking a head cook/chef.

This position requires passion, dedication, organization and a strong work ethic to be successful in our fast-paced bright, intimate and cheerful environment with a supportive staff. We are strong in our community and help support the developmentally disabled.

We are open for breakfast and lunch, enabling staff a better work/life balance.

• Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from food preparation to presentation ensuring and maintaining exceptional quality.
• Lead and mentor, fostering a culture of creativity, teamwork, and excellence.
• Collaborate with management to set events, achieve food cost and profitability goals.
• Source high-quality, ingredients and maintain vendor relationships to ensure freshness and consistency.
• Maintain and enforce high standards of food safety and sanitation
• Work effectively and quickly under pressure
• Neat, professional appearance
• Ability to reproduce and create new recipes and weekly specials
• Energetic, enthusiastic, positive attitude
• Continuously explore new culinary trends
• Ability to communicate in English. Knowledge of Spanish a plus
• Upscale Breakfast/Lunch experience is a plus
• ServeSafe/Food Handler Certified preferred

We source from local farms for our breakfast and lunch menu and get rave reviews for our food and service. Our hours of operation are Tuesday-Sunday 9am-3pm and our staff work together strongly as a team. There is always a family member on premise to manage. The hours allow for quality of life when your work day is done. We are very busy establishment. A good, neat appearance is required along with the ability to work well as a team. Besides breakfast and lunch, we occasionally cater and often host chef’s tasting dinners and events. On Mondays we are closed, and the restaurant becomes a ‘classroom’ for developmentally disabled students to get real-life job training to help them become employed.
