Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring for a full-time Cook 3 in South Dining Hall in our Campus Dining department. The Cook 3 reports to the Sous Chef and is an advanced BOH position responsible for high-level food preparation with independence and strong culinary technique in a high-volume Notre Dame dining environment.

• Proficiency in multiple cooking techniques and station production.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced food preparation across multiple stations.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portioning.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to junior cooks and support kitchen production.
• Monitor readiness and service timing to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in training new employees on recipes and procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence to HACCP and sanitation standards.
