Lead Cook – Full-Time

What You’ll Do:
As a Lead Cook, you’ll take the reins in our kitchen, preparing high-quality meals while guiding and mentoring our culinary team. You’ll ensure food is prepared safely, plated beautifully, and served on time—making a difference in the daily lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals using standardized recipes and meet dietary guidelines.

  • Lead and assign daily food prep and cooking tasks to team members.

  • Monitor food safety practices, temperature logs, and sanitation procedures.

  • Ensure quality, flavor, and presentation meet Larksfield’s expectations.

  • Help open and close the kitchen, perform inventory checks, and track supplies.

  • Mentor new staff and foster a supportive kitchen culture.

  • Act as kitchen lead in the absence of the Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • 3+ years of professional cooking experience; prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or high-volume kitchens is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety, dietary restrictions, and sanitation standards.

  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
