What You’ll Do:
As a Lead Cook, you’ll take the reins in our kitchen, preparing high-quality meals while guiding and mentoring our culinary team. You’ll ensure food is prepared safely, plated beautifully, and served on time—making a difference in the daily lives of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare meals using standardized recipes and meet dietary guidelines.
Lead and assign daily food prep and cooking tasks to team members.
Monitor food safety practices, temperature logs, and sanitation procedures.
Ensure quality, flavor, and presentation meet Larksfield’s expectations.
Help open and close the kitchen, perform inventory checks, and track supplies.
Mentor new staff and foster a supportive kitchen culture.
Act as kitchen lead in the absence of the Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
What We’re Looking For:
At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
3+ years of professional cooking experience; prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Experience in senior living, healthcare, or high-volume kitchens is a plus.
Strong knowledge of food safety, dietary restrictions, and sanitation standards.
ServSafe Certification preferred.
