Knob Hill Golf Club is excited to announce the career opportunity of Lead Line Cook. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and focus on providing superior service to members and guests.

Knob Hill Golf Club caters to a diverse membership and hosts various banquet events, including weddings, golf outings, member events, bar mitzvahs, showers, and meetings. The club features a full bar inside The Sycamore Grille, which is open year-round to the public. The Grill Cook will work on the restaurant line and assist with banquet and event preparations as needed.

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Line Cook:
  • Maintain standards in food production and quality.
  • Expedite orders efficiently.
  • Practice excellent sanitation standards.
  • Execute scheduled banquet functions.
  • Maintain professional relationships with colleagues.
  • Help reduce waste and loss.
  • Report equipment repair needs to the chef.
  • Participate actively in training efforts.
  • Follow safe work practices.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Check and date deliveries; report variances.
  • Ensure coolers are at proper temperatures and cleaned daily.
  • Process inventory requisitions and receive supplies.
  • Prepare food according to production plans and recipes.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's Culinary Degree and 2 years of culinary experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Qualifications:
  • Serv Safe Certification preferred.
