Job summary

The City of Charlotte is seeking a Conveyor Loading Bridge Technician Senior for 3rd shift to install, maintain, and repair conveyor and passenger loading bridge systems at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. You will lead and train other team members while handling electrical and mechanical tasks, including PLCs and motor controls.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Five years of related experience in electrical/mechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with industrial electrical installations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair electrical and mechanical systems with emphasis on automated baggage conveyors and passenger loading bridges.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, networks and HMIs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on ground power units and related equipment.
• Coordinate parts, tools and inventory; maintain equipment records.
• Operate heavy equipment and work near aircraft in safe, controlled environments.
