Job summary

AMMEGA in Salt Lake City is seeking a Production Lead to oversee the branch production shop's efficient operation. You will report to Regional Production Manager and guide the production team, ensuring safety and quality.

The role emphasizes coordinating with sales and office staff, maintaining strong math and leadership skills, lifting heavy materials, and driving continuous improvement while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • At least 3 years of conveyor belt fabrication experience.
  • Some supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to regularly lift 75+ pounds.
  • Ability to regularly bend, stoop, rotate arms and upper body; some climbing.
  • Leadership and teamwork mindset.
  • Learning agility and adaptability.
  • Ability to deliver what is promised and drive for change.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate processing of orders with regional managers, outside sales, production, and office staff.
  • Oversee safety initiatives and training to achieve zero accidents or injuries.
  • Ensure all orders are processed safely, efficiently and orderly.
  • Oversee quality control with Operations or Production Manager.
  • Coordinate scheduling of installations with the sales team.
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding orders, scheduling and issues.
  • Ensure shipping and receiving duties are completed accurately and timely.
  • Ensure installations are timely without compromising quality or safety.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities per company policies and laws.
  • Project a professional demeanor and maintain a positive team attitude.

Job Description

As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for the overall efficient functioning of the branch production shop. You will report to the Regional Production Manager and be part of the Production team. In this role, you will be based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

A day in the life of a Production Lead can look like:

  • Facilitating the processing of customers’ orders by interacting with regional managers, outside sales, production, and office staff.
  • Managing safety initiatives for the company. Administering best practices and training programs designed by the safety manager to achieve goal of zero accidents or injuries.
  • Ensuring all orders are processed in a safe, efficient, and orderly manner.
  • Overseeing quality control aspects as related to the production shop in collaboration with the Operations or Production Manager.
  • Coordinating scheduling of installations with the sales team.
  • Communicating with supervisor regarding assigned orders, scheduling, and other production issues.
  • Ensuring all shipping and receiving duties are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensuring installations are performed in a timely manner, without sacrificing quality, professionalism, or safety.
  • Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Projecting a professional and courteous demeanor when communicating with others.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude towards work in the team environment.
We are looking for you to have
  • A High School diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a conveyor belt fabricator.
  • Some supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong fundamental math skills.
  • Ability to regularly lift heavy weight materials (75+ pounds on average).
  • Ability to regularly bend, stoop, rotate arms and upper body; ability to frequently push, pull, sit, stand, and reach. Some climbing is required.
