Job summary

Pratt is seeking a Master Machine Operator in Wichita, KS, within the Converting department. You will operate Flexo, Die Cut, Jumbo or J&L lines, perform setup, cleanup, and suggest improvements to optimize efficiency and quality. Requires proficiency across multiple converting machines and teamwork to train others.

Responsibilities include monitoring quality, equipment maintenance, and data reporting. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required, with at least 6 months on converting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Able to calculate figures and basic math concepts.
• 6 months’ experience as a Machine Operator with the ability to run multiple converting machines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor box quality, including size, print, warp and other defects.
• Check anilox rolls for damage.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
• Train and assist Machine Operators with job duties.
• Cross-train on other machines to advance in skills.
• Complete reports such as Production Data and Quality Data in a timely manner.
• Submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs and assist in proactive upkeep.
• Adhere to the production schedule and suggest improvements to meet goals.
