Lincoln Electric is a leading provider of welding, cutting and automation solutions. The Controls Engineer will lead design, documentation and support for multiple robotic projects, ensuring safety and performance across cells.

Strong CAD, PLC and HMI skills are essential, with a drive to minimize costs and improve reliability. This role requires about 10% travel, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics, and hands-on experience in automation design and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.
• Ability to read electrical prints and develop procedures.
• Experience with CAD tools including AutoCAD Electrical.
• Electrical circuit design and analysis experience.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Controls Engineer for multiple customer projects.
• Design, document and support assembly and installation teams.
• Measure success by on-time, on-budget, and quality performance.
• Ensure overall robotic cell safety.
• Develop electrical designs for automation including PLC, motion control, and schematics.
• Standardize controls designs and reduce component count.
• Strive for high customer satisfaction on every project.
• Collaborate effectively with project teams.
