Job summary

Trew is a provider of Automated Equipment, Control Systems and Warehouse Execution Software. As a Controls Engineer III, you will design and implement electrical controls systems for automated material handling equipment.

This is project-based work including specifications, drawings, and PLC/PAC logic. Projects are tested in the office and installed at client facilities, with strong emphasis on collaboration and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or pursuing in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years designing industrial controls systems.
• Experience with material handling equipment controls; industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with client and internal teams to define applications and create operation descriptions.
• Lead training of co-ops and junior engineers on design and commissioning processes.
• Manage small to large projects with defined scopes and timelines.
• Define and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and budgets.
• Develop PLC/HMI programs for automation systems and test remotely and on-site.
• Collaborate with mechanical/electrical/software engineers to integrate solutions.
• Create project documentation and design reviews with teams.
