Job summary

Trew is seeking a Controls Engineer III to design, program, and test electrical control systems for automated material handling equipment. You will interact with clients and work with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver integrated solutions.

The role requires strong PLC/HMI expertise, project leadership, and the ability to travel to job sites as needed. This is a senior, hands-on position with ample growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years designing industrial controls systems.
• Experience with material handling equipment controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and programming of PLC/PAC for automated systems.
• Review electrical drawings and develop control system specifications.
• Provide on-site commissioning and client interaction.
• Configure interfaces to WCS or WES software systems.
• Develop application programs for HMI screens.
