Job summary

Hargrove seeks a Controls Engineer to lead power and control systems in Buffalo, NY. You will oversee system operation, technician development, and reliability targets for plant processes.

The ideal candidate has 5 years in controls, a B.E. in Electrical Engineering, and knowledge of NFPA/OSHA codes. You will validate MES data from PLCs and drive control strategy improvements and KPI development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 5 years of controls or electrical engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Primary administrator and troubleshooter for plant power and control systems.
• Develop and manage power and control standards across projects.
• Lead the site masterplan for power and controls systems and replacements.
• Build a sustainable E&I technician skill development program.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70/70e/79 and OSHA 1910.
• Validate MES data from PLCs and support data conditioning for analysis.
• Design and implement machine control and process automation applications (HMI, MES, KPI).
• Identify losses and develop plans to improve safety, quality, reliability, and cost.
