Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking a Lead Controls Engineer in Holcomb, KS (onsite). The role requires leadership for plant automation, modernization initiatives, and reliable operations in a large-scale manufacturing setting.

You will design and implement control systems, supervise troubleshooting across PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and networks, and lead cross-functional teams to improve efficiency. The role includes mentoring staff and maintaining standards, with a pay rate of $90 per hour.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
6+ years of experience in Information Systems, Controls Engineering, or Industrial Automation.
Strong PLC programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for plant automation, controls, and information systems.
Design, develop, implement, and support technology solutions for operational efficiency and reliability.
Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across PLCs, HMI/SCADA, networks, and automated equipment.
Program, commission, and maintain PLC-based control systems in industrial manufacturing environments.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and management to identify improvements.
