Job summary
Extra Resource Staffing seeks an experienced Controls Engineering Manager in the Washington, D.C. area. The role blends hands-on electrical engineering with leadership of a five-person controls team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
- 5+ years in progressive Controls Engineering experience.
- Hands-on PLC programming and HMI development.
- Experience leading/mentoring engineers.
- Strong knowledge of motors, drives, motion control, and industrial networks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a Controls Engineering team of about five professionals.
- Own controls projects from concept through commissioning.
- Design electrical and controls systems for large industrial machinery.
- Develop PLC and HMI programs; troubleshoot and commission equipment.
- Provide technical guidance while actively engineering.
