Job summary

TRCTalent Solutions is seeking a Lead Controls Systems Engineer for a full-time role in Tempe, AZ. The candidate will design and lead building automation projects, manage a team of 2–5 engineers, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in related field/industry.
• Controls experience with Rockwell: FactoryTalk Suite, RS Logix/Studio 5000, and familiarity with PlantPAx or Aveva System Platform or Inductive...
• Knowledge of Kepware OPC server, ThinManager, VMware is preferred.
• HVAC knowledge and understanding of sequences of operations in large building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of 2–5 engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Lead customer meetings and design reviews; develop and estimate hardware costs and engineering effort.
• Create instrument lists from P&IDs and select instrumentation for projects.
• Design panels and electrical schematics; procure hardware and support panel fabrication.
• Configure DDC/PLC/DCS control algorithms and interface HMIs.
• Site startup, testing, and commissioning; train customer personnel.
