Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Regional Project Engineer to lead controls, automation, and digital projects within the North America team. The role covers ideation through execution on capital projects across electrical, controls, Factory IT, and Digital Plant Technology systems at multiple sites.

The position requires 5–10+ years in a relevant engineering role, a degree in engineering, and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical) or related.
• 5–10+ years in a comparable technical role in food, beverage, pharma, or related industry.
• Foundational knowledge of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Controls, Automation, Construction and/or Computer Services.
• In-depth understanding of designated functional engineering area (controls, process, packaging).
• Up to 50% travel depending on project demands.

Responsibilities

• Develop control systems for automating manufacturing and packaging.
• Deliver projects to the business that provide a competitive advantage.
• Design control systems concepts and functional/equipment specifications.
• Direct modifications, installation, and integration of electrical, control, Factory IT, digital plant tech systems.
• Ensure delivery of scope, time, budget, and cash flow objectives.
• Maintain adherence to scope, deliverables, and critical success factors.
