Job summary

Azalea Wang is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function for a fast‑moving wholesale footwear and fashion business. You will own the full accounting cycle from daily operations through month‑end close, financial reporting, and audit readiness, reporting to leadership in a high‑velocity environment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in wholesale apparel/footwear, strong NetSuite experience, and a proven track record building processes and teams to scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in wholesale apparel/footwear/retail.
• Strong ownership of full month-end close cycle.
• Experience with wholesale AR, retailer deductions, remittance reconciliation.
• Inventory accounting, COGS, and cost of goods in wholesale environment.
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred; other ERPs considered.

Responsibilities

• Own the full monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle end-to-end.
• Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and variance analysis.
• Ensure revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and accruals are accurate.
• Maintain General Ledger integrity and chart of accounts.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Manage AR for wholesale accounts and reconciliations.
• Oversee AP across domestic and international vendors.
