Job summary

You will define system architecture with PLC/HMI/DCS, interfaces, and networks, develop functional specifications from P&IDs, and collaborate with clients and project managers. Some travel to client sites is required. The role demands 5+ years of experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering.
• Experience developing automation architectures and control programs.
• Understanding of PLC operation and external device communication.
• Ability to translate P&ID/system diagrams into a program spec.
• Proficient in at least one PLC programming software (Rockwell preferred).
• Proficient in HMI/SCADA development and tag databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of control systems projects from feasibility to startup.
• Support estimating of project costs and schedules based on scope.
• Define system requirements from specifications and client interviews.
• Develop architectures including PLC/HMI/DCS, IO, networks, compute infra.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to meet scope, budget, schedule.
• Communicate status, risks, costs, and schedule to stakeholders.
• Travel to client sites for discovery, definition, and startup.
• Keep abreast of trends to recommend suitable client solutions.
