Job summary
Methanex Corporation Geismar site is seeking a Control Systems Lead to drive leadership, governance, and technical excellence for instrumentation, DCS, SIS, and associated electrical systems across three plants. You will guide plant changes, reliability initiatives, and lifecycle management while ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Chemical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 10+ years experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Instrumentation/Control Systems Engineering.
- 5+ years proven leadership experience.
- Strong diagnostic/fault finding skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with DCS, SIS, and plant control systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Control Systems team across three Geismar plants.
- Oversee DCS/SIS projects and plant modifications.
- Manage scope, risk, schedule, and budget for control system work.
- Provide technical guidance on MOC/MCMP processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, Operations, and Maintenance teams.
- Ensure reliability, cybersecurity, and lifecycle management of control systems.
- Support outages, turnarounds, and capital project delivery.
- Coach and develop team talent and performance.
