Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Controls & SW Engineer with strong Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background to drive feasibility studies, cost assessments and feature rollouts for automotive programs.

The role leads a team of controls engineers, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and ensures rigorous validation of control functions throughout the vehicle development cycle, with emphasis on Agile practices and MATLAB/Simulink tooling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years engineering experience, with at least 2 in automotive.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow and Embedded C is a plus.
  • Proactive, accountable and communicative.

Responsibilities

  • Provide feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to vehicle/programs.
  • Represent the Controls System as primary interface vs. Propulsion System Community.
  • Coordinate Controls Features development.
  • Define Feature Roll-out Plan aligned to program milestones and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of controls engineers.
  • Ensure rigorous validation of control functions throughout vehicle development cycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance cutting-edge controls technology.
  • Drive continuous improvement in controls engineering processes and methodologies.

  • Providing Feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to the vehicle/programs.
  • Representing the Controls System (Controllers and SW) vs the Propulsion System Community as primary interface.

Qualifications & Skills Required
  • As need to work on Complex Systems, it is essential the successful candidate can show a proven record of working on his/her own initiative and within a team delivering high quality and robust technical solutions
  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience (2 years in automotive)
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Previous experience as Controls/SW developer using Matlab Simulink/Stateflow, Embedded C, testing or calibration engineer will be considered a plus
  • Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and debugging techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
