Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of contract surety underwriting experience.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting and contractor financial analysis.
• Experience underwriting bid, performance, and payment bonds.
• Proven ability to manage staff and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, work programs, bonds, and contractor performance.
• Lead underwriting of contract surety accounts and determine bond programs.
• Develop underwriting guidelines and mentor underwriting staff.
• Drive automation projects: AI-assisted workflows and document automation.
• Partner with operations to remove bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
